Life is all about balance. How much time to spend with your friends vs family. Spending money on what you want vs. what you need. Having the car you want vs. one that you can afford. Finding this balance is always a little tricky. I was raised in a home that taught me the importance of family, friendships, and the value of a dollar.
I will be the first (and probably proudest) to tell you that I have no problem going straight to the clearance rack in any store. Yes, even the grocery store! Even in shopping strictly the clearance you can find yourself in trouble financially. This is where the what you want vs what you need comes in to play.
So where is the fine line? Its never clear. And it is never in the same place for everyone, each person has to find their own. (Ha! Thought I was going to be wise and tell you exactly where it was...nope, no can do!) I am on a search for mine. Yes, even a person with a Finance degree has to find their line. Now, I am not terribly in debt, in no way of losing my home or car, and no remote chance of going bankrupt. But, I own a home, that has expenses. I am at an age where I can't just spend and splurge all the time, instead I need to save some. But, there is no need to go to extremes. It is a balancing act afterall...

Why I love my Church...
I seriously love my church! It is rather large. We have 3 services, 2 blended and one contemporary. But, while it is large, it feels small. We have all ages...from the 80 year olds to the 2 year olds. I have a family there. I am involved with the singles and I love these people. I have such a great group of friends that will keep me laughing to the point of squeaking, accountable when I get out of line, and tell me they love me when I both acting crazy and then when I am not in the best of moods. They are the best girlfriends and guy friends a girl could ask for.
Today was our church wide brunch. Instead of having service and Sunday School, we came together and had brunch. Dr. Lee spoke on how we are all a family. That we do not say my God, but OUR God. He is all of our Father which makes us all brothers and sisters and we look out for our family. I just thought it was neat how old and young, small and large, everyone could come together as a family.
Those are just a few reasons why I love my church! Do you have a church to call home? Do you love your church? Do you have a church family?

Stir Crazy
What does one do when they are stuck inside their home for 3 days? The past 2 days were not to bad because the weather was yucky but today, I look outside and two things happen. 1) I am longing to be out there basking in the sunshine where it is warm and letting the pup's play and 2) I wince and remember how bad the sunshine is killing my head and that if I go out these allergies will flair up and I will be home bound longer. Apparently I have a sinus infection and am "highly contagious" according to my doctor. So, here I am day number 3 stuck inside with the puppies (who are thoroughly enjoying my being home) and I can't go anywhere, see anyone etc. Yep, the stir crazy is setting in!
Oh and by the way, my laptop is back in action after a month and a half of not having it because the adapter died!
